Williamsburg, VA 23188

20 years ago, we resolved never to fall prey to the attitude “if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it,” but to constantly mature as a company, to always be willing to look to the future and experiment with the ever-evolving trends of the printing industry. Instead we tweaked the maxim and incorporated it into everything we do - “if it works, we can make it work better.”

Since then, we’ve learned that it isn’t the fastest machines, or the newest equipment or the latest technology that makes a business thrive, it’s the people who make up that business. Without question, our staff has been the driving force behind our success. Their courtesy, resolve, skill and old fashioned customer service are why we were voted Williamsburg’s 2010 and 2011 Printer of the Year, and we thank them as much as we do you..

File Requirements
There are a few important things to remember when sending your files to a printer. Always make sure your final file is in a CMYK color space, and make sure if it's a 4 color process job, that no lingering spot colors are assigned to anything in your file. We prefer press quality PDF's, but if you send us native files, (i.e. InDesign, Publisher, Word etc.)  please be sure to preflight and package your file, so we have all the appropriate fonts and links. Printwell, Inc. is PC based, so if you use a Mac be sure to submit your file in a Windows acceptable format. Does your art bleed? PLEASE be sure to provide at least 1/8" bleed margin and include crop marks if you can. Are you submitting art to be enlarged? Note that most images you find online are 72dpi and will look horrible when enlarged even slightly. For wide format enlargements we prefer a hi res (300dpi) image so as little integrity is lost as possible. If you're unsure if your file will work just call or email and we can walk you through everything we need.
